TREND ALERT! ~mini jewelry collection by MichaelM~

I  wanted to share a new mini-collection from Michael M, a premier fashion house known for unique, beautifully detailed pieces, featuring the latest trend, double sided rings! Combining fashion and function, these delicate pieces from the M Collection are so versatile and fun to wear as you can mix and match and change up on the fly depending on your outfit or mood.

Combining 14K gold (available in yellow, white and rose) and diamonds, each style can be worn two ways, front or back to create an entirely new look (and give you the most bang for your buck)!  For example, the Diamond Arrow Band is adorned with diamonds on each side, so you can ether showcase an open arrow style, or flip it to show off a solo dangling diamond in a bead setting.

Celebrate the 4th of July with this cocktail recipe by Nosotros Tequila!

SmokeontheWater.jpeg

A 4th of July party is incomplete without the perfect cocktail. With tequila trending this summer, we would love for your readers to consider Nosotros Blood + Sand, a red, smokey Margini (Margarita Martini) made with Nosotros Tequila.

One of our favorite takes on a ‘margini’ is the Smoke on the Water created by Garh Dokken of the Craft House in Dana Point, CA. The festive, smokey cocktail features Nosotros Reposado, notes of luxardo cherries, vanilla, and blood orange topped with a charcoal eggwhite foam.

If you’re not in California this holiday weekend, make a similar cocktail at home to enjoy.

Nosotros Blood + Sand

¾ oz Nosotros Reposado

¾ oz orange juice (preferably blood orange)

¾ oz cherry heering

¾ oz dry vermouth

3 dash vanilla extract

Shake and double strain into a chilled coupe

Garnish with an orange peel and a cherry

I AM HORSERACING

Jockey agent Matt Nakatani was born with racing already coursing through his veins as the son of Southern California jockey Corey Nakatani and trainer Michele Dollase. He also counts an uncle, aunt and grandfather, the late Wallace Dollase, as trainers within the industry. After graduating from the University of Louisville with degrees in Sports Management and Communications, he returned to home to California to be near family and took on a more active role in his father’s distinguished riding career, becoming his agent.

The pairing was a success and the young Nakatani helped his father return off an extended layoff, solidifying himself as a talented and well-respected member of the industry. Though not an easy one, Nakatani says his job and passion are one and the same and that he goes after each early morning, disappointing defeat and exhilarating win all for the love of the horse and the life they have given him and his family.

Meet Matt Nakatani. He is Horse Racing.

GRAB AND GO MUST HAVES FOR SUMMER!

Summer is here, and as we get busier we often forget the things we need to enjoy the season more!

STAY HYDRATED!
Many of us do not drink enough water, and drinking water is so very important for the functions of our body.
Drinking water also helps the skin stay looking younger longer.
DRINK YOUR WATER!
MAKE IT FUN!
GET A WATER BOTTLE THAT HAS A TRACKER OF THE AMOUNT OF WATER YOU’VE DRANK EACH HOUR.
DOWNLOAD AN APP ON YOUR PHONE THAT REMINDS YOU TO DRINK MORE WATER.
DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO DRINK MORE WATER.

WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERY DAY, EVEN ON CLOUDY DAYS!

Wear Sunglasses outdoors, even on cloudy days! Protect those beautiful eyes!

Always carry a portable snack with you, such as a protein bar or these delicious snacks in pouches. I promise they really are not gross, and they really help when you need a quick snack and don’t have the time to really eat.

I don’t always take my kindle with me, so I keep a magazine or two in my bag just in case.

I have been stuck in traffic for very long times due to an accident further up the road, and it’s nice to have something besides the radio to distract you while you are practically parked on the Interstate.

And how many times has a quick visit to the doctor taken longer??? And we all know their magazines aren’t always the most interesting.

And most important, before you toss these items into your bag and go, make sure your car is properly maintained and ready for the trip!

BE SURE TO CARRY AT LEAST A SMALL FIRST AID KIT, EXTRA WATER AND SNACKS, SUCH AS CRACKERS THAT WILL DEAL WITH EXTREME TEMPS INSIDE THE CAR.

Spare tire and lug wrench

TOILET PAPER (UGH…I KNOW) BUT ROADSIDE STOPS MAY BE NEEDED, AND HOW MANY REST AREAS HAVE YOU STOPPED AT THAT DIDN’T HAVE TOILET PAPER?

I hope you enjoy your Summer regardless of what you do. Stay safe! Stay hydrated!
